COLONIAL DAYS
SET UP: A complete and authentic military encampment set up by American Patriots of the time. There are three tents. One is for the General, displaying weapons and artifacts of the day. The next is a Museum Wedge that resembles a large modern day pup tent. It is where the larger weapons are kept along with the ammunition. The third tent is a Diamond Wedge, used by backpackers and patriots of the time to give them some minimal protection from the elements. There is a small fire pit, that has not yet been lit. The year is 1779. Local Revolutionary Patriots have been sent word their 'Traveling Encampment' is to be inspected by a Sergeant General of the American military. Cptn. Biggs, Lieutenant Whistles and new recruit Potts set up camp and await the Sergeant General's arrival. They are true patriots. They are also a jovial group, ready to defend the country at a moment's notice. However, they are genuine town folk who like to enjoy themselves, playing the guitar and tin whistle while singing songs of the day when time allows. After the crowd gathers, Biggs and Whistles welcome their new guests. They explain what they are doing and about the songs and instruments of that time period. They also explain young peoples' roles at the time, what was expected of them and what they did for entertainment. Enter Sergeant Gen. Williamson- The three patriots snap to attention and the inspection begins. SG Williamson runs them through the ringer as he has them start a fire, explain the purposes of the tents, etc. The show continues in the following outline.
